All consignments are assessed a 5% fee on the seller and a 5% fee on the winning bidders' completed auction sale. These fees are levied as stated in the by-laws and are placed in the general fund for the day to day operation of the Society.
All lots will be held until payment is received, and consignors will be paid after all lots received from the consignors are settled.
All lots are covered by a fifteen day return policy from the date of mailing. If the lot is not as described or otherwise unsatisfactory, arrangements for their return are to be made with the auctioneer. After fifteen days, all sales are final.
All lots are to be placed in a glassine or other similar protective envelope.
All lots must be clearly identified with the name and member number of the submitter.
In addition to the name of the submitter, a mailing address, e-mail address if applicable, and telephone number should also be provided.
All items must be identified by a standard catalog number, e.g., MI, SC, or ANK.
Each item or lot should be described with an accurate grade and condition description.
Each item or lot is to be marked as MNH or (**) for mint never hinged, MH or (*) for mint hinged, and U for used stamps. You may also use any standard symbol in current use to indicate any gum disturbance or hinge remnant, as well as any other condition to appropriately describe the item.
A reserve price should be stated. If no reserve or minimum price is stated, the auctioneer will list the lot what he feels fair.
The starting bid will usually be the minimum or reserve price.
